Here is a great video clip of mom when she was finger painting with Justin. “Grams” always had a fun project to paint, Christmas ornaments to make with lots of colors and rhinestones, and baking goodies with Justin and Nick. My boys will never forget how she would always have her apron on when they came to visit and the pockets of the apron were always full of amazing surprises, toys , candy, toothbrushes(lol). Grams will be greatly missed. We promise to carry on the bundles of fun, joy, and laughter that she always shared. We dearly love her and treasure our memories together.

I met Rita about 5 years ago, I believe it was shortly after Mark had passed. Rita was visiting Chad and his family, and I met Rita in church. I remember having a great holiday meal with the family and really enjoyed. When Rita had her hip replacement I had started to text her, and I learned a lot more about her. What a sweet lady!
I read Gretchen's first post about Rita on a Tuesday morning early. I just could not believe what I was reading, I went out in my yard to look at the creation to make me feel better, and I saw a bloom coming up that had not bloomed for about 4 years. When I saw it I decided to dedicate it to Rita. A day or so later Gretchen posted some more pictures and there was a picture with Rita hugging Mark around the waist. Threw the pain of the loss of a friend, I saw the great love between Mark and Rita in this picture, and was overwhelmed that Rita was with Mark once again and I couldn't have felt any better knowing this....Rita I will miss learning more about you, RIP.
My condolences to the Guptil family and friends of Rita and Mark.
God bless~

As you can see by the bloom, Rita's love and beauty went out in all directions.

We met Rita & Mark when their son Chad proposed to our daughter Gretchen & the fun began...Engagement, Wedding Showers, Chad’s Graduation from Sac. State, Bachelorette party in Yosemite, The Wedding, trips to Lake Tahoe, Seattle, San Francisco & Dear Grandsons, Justin & Nick...the celebration never stopped. Rita always brought so much to the table~laughter, stories, crafty ideas & always “confetti” in every card. Rita & Mark are together and are at peace & glorifying their Savior. You will never be forgotten & your legacy will live on through Chad, Justin & Nick and all the Guptil generations to come. ♥️ Toni & Bill
